Can you collect Mum today?
Often, yes. Call or text me with the hospital and discharge time and I'll tell you straight away if I can be there.
What happens on the day?
I meet her on the ward, collect her discharge papers and medication, and get her home. I pick up prescriptions, make sure she's comfortable and has what she needs, then call you with an update.
Can you collect someone after day surgery or dental sedation?
Yes. I collect from the recovery area, get them home and stay while they settle. If the hospital needs someone with them for 24 hours, I can stay the full 24.
Can you stay overnight?
Yes, subject to availability. Extended aftercare is available for 8 hours, 24 hours or weeks.
How much is it?
Hospital pick-up and settling in at home is from $350 including GST. If Mum needs someone with her for 24 hours after sedation or surgery, it's $1,200 including GST. Kilometres included, parking and tolls are extra.
Are you insured and police checked?
Yes. I carry full public liability and professional indemnity insurance, hold current National Police Check and Working With Children Check, and maintain First Aid and CPR certification.
Do you work with dementia clients?
I work with clients who are sharp or slightly forgetful. For advanced dementia or heavy clinical care, I can refer you to support.
What areas do you cover?
Sydney's Eastern Suburbs and North Shore. If you're outside this area, reach out—I may be able to take a short term arrangement or refer you to someone trusted.
